Government Requests

Revolt’s policy on cooperation with legal/law enforcement is as follows:

  • When legally compelled to provide information to a government or law enforcement agency, Revolt will comply and provide the requested information.
  • If unlawful content is reported to us, we may cooperate with the relevant agencies to provide information about the users the content is attributed to.
  • Law agencies may contact us to help with an investigation, if the request is valid and we can find unlawful content for a given request then we may cooperate with the agency in question and pass over relevant information.

Users will be notified that their data will be requested and a censored copy of the transcripts of our communication with the relevant authority will be published here where appropriate (in some cases it may not be possible to publish information immediately).
